Like VLOOKUP but searches the first row and returns from a row below.

Syntax

HLOOKUP(lookup_value, table_array, row_index_num, [range_lookup])

=HLOOKUP(A1, $B$1:$M$5, 4, FALSE)

  • Rare in practice — data is usually column-oriented. XLOOKUP handles both directions.
