Round a number to a set number of decimal places.

Syntax

ROUND(number, num_digits)

Arguments

number
The value to round.
num_digits
Decimals to keep. 0 = nearest whole. Negative rounds left of the point: -3 β†’ nearest 1000.

Examples

=ROUND(1234.567, 2)

β†’ 1234.57

=ROUND(1234.567, -2)

β†’ 1200

Good to know

  • Rounds half away from zero (2.5 β†’ 3, -2.5 β†’ -3).
