Edit PDF Text

Open a PDF and edit its existing text. Each line becomes an editable field in place; the lines you change are covered and redrawn in a metric-matched standard font (Helvetica, Times or Courier) at the same size, colour and position, and the rest of the page is left exactly as it was. Best on PDFs exported from a document editor — a pure scan has no text layer to edit.

How to use it

  1. Drop in a PDF — its text lines become editable boxes on the page.
  2. Click a line and retype it. Changed lines are highlighted.
  3. Move between pages with Prev / Next.
  4. Click Download edited PDF — only the lines you touched are altered.

FAQ

Does it keep the original font?
It matches to the closest standard font — Helvetica for Arial/Helvetica-family, Times for serif, Courier for monospace — at the original size and colour. A truly identical match isn't possible because PDFs embed only the specific letters they use, so a new letter often isn't in the file. Unmatched fonts are flagged.
Why can't it edit my scanned PDF?
A scan is an image with no text data. Use the PDF Editor to type on top of it, or run it through OCR first.
Will it break the rest of the document?
No. Only the lines you edit are changed — every other line, image and element is copied through untouched.
Non-English text?
The standard fonts cover basic Latin only. Devanagari, Tamil, Arabic and similar scripts won't redraw.
