IFSC Code Finder — Bank Branch Lookup
Enter an 11-character IFSC code to find the exact bank branch it belongs to — branch name, postal address, city, district and state, the branch phone number and MICR code, and whether it accepts NEFT, RTGS, IMPS and UPI. Data is looked up live from the public RBI-sourced IFSC directory. Only the code you type is sent to our server.
11 characters — four letters for the bank, a 0, then six for the branch. Case doesn't matter. Look on a cheque leaf, your passbook or net-banking.
Branch data comes from Razorpay's public IFSC directory (ifsc.razorpay.com), which mirrors the Reserve Bank of India's list. Records for merged or newly opened branches can lag. How to use it
- Type or paste the IFSC code — it's on your cheque leaf, passbook or net-banking (case doesn't matter).
- Press Find branch.
- Read the bank, branch, address, contact and MICR code, and which transfer methods the branch supports.
- Copy the IFSC or the address, or open the branch in Google Maps.
FAQ
- Where does the branch data come from?
- From Razorpay's public IFSC API (ifsc.razorpay.com), which mirrors the Reserve Bank of India's IFSC directory. It needs no login. We fetch it on our server, cache it and pass it back to you.
- An IFSC isn't found — why?
- The code may be mistyped, or the branch was recently opened, merged or renamed and the public directory hasn't caught up. Confirm the current IFSC on your bank's website or a recent cheque.
- What is the MICR code?
- A 9-digit Magnetic Ink Character Recognition code printed at the bottom of a cheque. It identifies the branch for cheque clearing — the first 3 digits are the city, the next 3 the bank and the last 3 the branch.
- Is my search stored?
- No. The IFSC is sent to our server only to perform the lookup and isn't logged against you. Recent codes are kept in your browser so you can re-check them, and you can clear them any time.
- Why is there a verification step?
- A quick Cloudflare Turnstile challenge that keeps bots from hammering the lookup. It's usually invisible or a single click — no image puzzles.
